Property Rental Requirements

House & Home management is very happy you may decide to make application to us for one of our rental properties. For more than 10 years our company has been providing excellent management services to prospective residents looking for the very best property management. Please consider the following recommendations in order to get your application approved by the owner.

  1. Be sure to provide the names and telephone numbers (home & work preferred) of at least the previous two years' worth of rental history from individuals not related to you. Always be sure to include your move-in and move-out dates and the exact apartment number. If you had a roommate on the lease contract, their name would be helpful as a point of reference, as well.
  2. Your monthly income should be at least 3 to 4 times the rental amount. If you are self-employed please provide your latest tax returns as well as at least 3 months worth of bank statements. Contact of your clients is also helpful.
  3. Your first month's rent and deposit must be in the form of cash up front at lease signing. Some owners require an application fee. If so a separate money order must also be included of $40 (app fee non-refundable). Only one application fee per lifetime is required to House & Home while you live in our rentals. All checks and money orders should be made payable to House & Home management.
  4. Credit and criminal reports may be obtained. Any credit or criminal issues may cause a decline of the application or a double or more deposit on the rental. Be prepared for this.
  5. All rents and deposits must be paid up front before move in without exception.
