Advertising/Marketing

House & Home provides extensive internet and local ad marketing. We are already known by many renters, owners, real estate agencies, banks, insurance companies and many more who refer potential tenants to us. It has taken us years to establish such a wide network that's ready to go to work for you today.

Resident Screening

House & Home has a detailed application with screening process that includes credit checks (if required), criminal checks, sex offender registry, and verification of rental and employment history, as applicable, for every adult who may reside at the property. At House & Home management we have been trained to read beyond the application to develop an idea of the type of person who will be living in your property. When it's critical, we also employ extended measures to make sure we are renting to a reliable resident.

Leases

House & Home leases are very detailed, explaining resident and owner responsibility as well as going over some basic property maintenance items. We personally take the time to explain the lease to the tenants then they are asked to checkmark the key points verifying that they understand their responsibility. We try to keep our owners protected!

Fees

  • Setup Fee: A $100 fee is charged to do an initial setup including owner/property data collection, property file assembly computer data entry as well as an initial baseline assesment of property condition.

  • Leasing Fee: For owners with complete management services we charge 20% of one month's rent as a leasing fee. If the tenant breaks their lease within the first 9 months, we do not charge a re-leasing fee. Owners who use lease only services we charge 30% of one month's rent as a leasing fee.

  • Management Fee: Management fees are generally based on 10% of collected rents. If you don't get paid, we don't get paid!
